Get a better sense of what, when, and why the Swedes drink on this tour through Sweden’s drinking history and drinking culture, in the exhibition Sweden: Spirits of a Nation.

Get the answers to the questions that keep you up at night; Why is the sale of alcohol monopolized in Sweden? Can you really make vodka from potatoes? And what’s up with all the singing?
With a “snaps” in your hand, your guide will take you through the exhibition – from the 16th century’s medicinal use of alcohol, through the prohibition era, to the rise of the retail monopoly store Systembolaget.
The tour will be in English and will take approximately 30 minutes. Entrance to all of the museum’s exhibitions and “snaps” or a non-alcoholic alternative is included in the price.
Cheers and welcome!
