Visit the museum in the late afternoon, explore the exhibitions and stay for a tasting tray, dinner or drinks. Spritmuseum, the restaurant and bar are open until 10 pm every day.

How to get here

Spritmuseum is located on the island of Djurgården in Stockholm, right between the Vasa Museum and The Viking Museum. It takes about 35 minutes to walk from the Central Station, or 15 minutes from the metro station Karlaplan. See below for more public transport alternatives.

Tram

From the city center (at Sergels torg square, on Hamngatan street) take tram number 7 towards Waldemarsudde. Get off at tram stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund, walk past Liljevalchs art gallery towards the harbour.

Bus

Bus 67 to bus stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund.
Bus 69 and 76 to bus stop Djurgårdsbron.

Metro

Take the metro red line to station Karlaplan. From there it is a 15-minute walk to The Museum of Spirits. You can also take bus 67 from Karlaplan to the bus stop Liljevalchs/Gröna Lund.

Ferry

Ferry from Slussen all year round and from Nybroplan during the summer.Visit www.sl.se for timetables and other information about the tram, the buses, and the metro.

Ferry from Nybroplan, Hammarby Sjöstad and Viking Terminal. Traffic throughout the year with M/S Emelie.

Accessibility

  • Disabled parking is available outside the museum entrance.
  • The museum is wheelchair accessible with ramps and a lift between the floors.
  • We offer baby carriers for loan, as strollers are not permitted inside the exhibitions.
  • Lockers are available, measuring 51 cm x 30 cm x 55 cm.
  • We are unfortunately unable to store larger luggage.
  • A hearing loop is open in the tasting and conference room. On guided tours, we offer a Univox neck loop.
  • The exhibition Sweden – Spirits of a Nation contains fragrances. Some parts of the exhibition are dimly lit.
  • Free entrance for all assistants.
  • Defibrillator.
  • Free Wi-Fi.
