What is Spritmuseum?
Spritmuseum is a museum of Swedish drinking culture on Djurgården in Stockholm. The museum explores Sweden’s relationship with alcohol through history, art, design, exhibitions and sensory experiences.
Is Spritmuseum available in English?
Yes. The exhibitions at Spritmuseum are available in English, and selected guided tours and activities are also offered in English.
Can children visit Spritmuseum?
Yes. Children and young people are welcome at Spritmuseum. Visitors aged 0–14 have free admission, while visitors aged 15–18 pay a reduced ticket price.
Do you have to be 18 to visit Spritmuseum?
No. There is no general age limit for visiting the museum. Age restrictions apply only to activities involving alcoholic beverages.
How long should I spend at Spritmuseum?
We recommend around 60–90 minutes to explore the museum. If you also plan to visit the restaurant or take part in a tasting or activity, allow some extra time.
How much does it cost to visit Spritmuseum?
Ticket prices vary depending on age and ticket type. Children aged 0–14 have free admission. See our ticket page for current admission prices and to buy tickets online.
What is included in the admission ticket?
Admission includes access to Spritmuseum’s three exhibitions. Tastings, guided tours and other activities may require a separate ticket or additional fee.
Do I need to book tickets in advance?
You can buy museum admission tickets in advance or at the museum. We recommend booking tastings, guided tours and other ticketed activities in advance, as tickets may be limited.
What can I see and do at Spritmuseum?
Explore exhibitions about Swedish drinking culture, history, art and design, or discover the museum through tastings and other activities. Spritmuseum also hosts temporary exhibitions, events and experiences throughout the year.
Can I do a tasting at Spritmuseum?
Yes. Our scheduled tastings are held in Swedish, but private tastings can be booked in English. You can also explore Swedish drinking culture at your own pace with a tasting tray, available with or without a VR experience.
Is there a restaurant at Spritmuseum?
Yes. Spritmuseum has a restaurant overlooking the water on Djurgården. The restaurant serves food inspired by Swedish culinary and drinking traditions and can be visited with or without a museum ticket.
Is Spritmuseum accessible for visitors with disabilities?
Yes. Spritmuseum is wheelchair accessible, with ramps and a lift between floors.

Accessible toilets are available on both floors.
- We offer baby carriers for loan, as strollers are not permitted inside the exhibitions.
- A hearing loop is open in the tasting and conference room. On guided tours, we offer a Univox neck loop.
- The permanent exhibition Spirits of a Nation contains fragrances. Some parts of the exhibition are dimly lit.
- Free entrance for all assistants.

Can I bring bags or luggage to Spritmuseum?
Lockers are available at the museum, measuring 51 × 30 × 55 cm. Please note that we are unable to store larger luggage.
