In the mini-exhibition Highlights from the Absolut Art Collection, the diversity of the art collection Absolut Art Collection is reflected through works in various artistic media. The exhibition features pieces by some of the collection’s more well-known artists such as Louise Bourgeois, Beatrice Cussol, Keith Haring, David Shrigley, and Andy Warhol, conveying a sense of recognition, humor, and creativity.
The Absolut Art Collection comprises over 850 works by 550 artists from the period 1985–2004. Internationally acclaimed artists appear side by side with lesser-known artists who worked on a local level, forming a collection that is vibrant, multifaceted, thought-provoking – and at times, naive. It cuts across artistic movements and themes – and across the many segmented spheres of the art world. The collection includes paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, furniture, fashion, and crafts. All the works served as the basis for global advertising campaigns for Absolut Vodka.
