A QUICK NOTE ON PUNSCH
Punch arrived in Sweden during the 18th century with the East India traders, who brought arrack from Asia.
By mixing the spirit with sugar, water, tea, and sometimes lemon, a new kind of drink emerged.
At first, punch was served in refined parlours, but it soon made its way into student societies, the military, and the wider social scene. Whether warm or cold, in a cup or a glass, punch became a beloved companion in Swedish drinking culture.
FLAVOUR & AROMA
Grönstedts Punsch has a very sweet, spiced flavour with notes of citrus peel, vanilla, and arrack. The aroma carries hints of oak, orange marmalade, and brown sugar. A classic Swedish arrack punch.
