A QUICK NOTE ON NEGRONI & HERBAL REMEDIES
In the past, wise women and men offered herbal remedies rooted in folk traditions. Many herbs and spices were believed to be healing, especially for digestion. That’s why they’ve long played a role in pre-dinner aperitifs and after-dinner digestifs.
Bitter wormwood was used to spark appetite and ease digestion, while spices like cinnamon, clove, and ginger were considered warming and stomach-friendly. These flavours live on in today’s mulled wine – and in classic vermouth-based cocktails like the Negroni and the Manhattan.
FLAVOUR & AROMA
Winter Nogroni is an alcohol-free take on the classic bittersweet Italian aperitif.
This version features sweet, bitter, and spicy notes of juniper, black currant, wormwood, and warming spices like ginger, bitter orange, clove, and cinnamon.
